About Milwaukee Braves Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
Historical Milwaukee Braves Milestones
The Milwaukee Braves were a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise that called Milwaukee home for a brief but exciting period in baseball history (1953-1965). The Braves became the Milwaukee Braves in 1953 after relocating from Boston, where they were known as the Boston Braves. The team played their home games at Milwaukee County Stadium, a ballpark known for its loyal fans and exciting atmosphere. The Braves eventually relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 1966, becoming the Atlanta Braves we know today.
While their time in Milwaukee was short-lived, the Braves left a lasting legacy on the city. The Milwaukee Braves won one National League championship (1957) and one World Series championship (1957) in Milwaukee, defeating the New York Yankees in a thrilling seven-game series. The Braves went on to win four NL West Division Titles (1961-1964) in Milwaukee.
Some of the most famous players donned the iconic Milwaukee Braves uniform with the tomahawk logo, including:
- Hank Aaron: A legendary home run hitter who broke Babe Ruth's record while playing for the Atlanta Braves. He began his career with the Milwaukee Braves.
- Eddie Mathews: A prolific power hitter who won two Gold Glove Awards while playing third base for the Milwaukee Braves.
- Warren Spahn: A future Hall of Fame pitcher who won the Cy Young Award in 1957 for the Milwaukee Braves.
These accomplishments and legendary players are why Milwaukee Braves memorabilia remains sought after by fans.
